The Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX) Fostering Cross-Cultural Understanding and Leadership

24 March

Sponsored by the United States Department of State, the Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX) aims to connect high school students from the United States with their peers in countries across Europe, Eurasia, and Central Asia, fostering a deeper cross-cultural appreciation and understanding. Established in 1992 by former U.S. Senator Bill Bradley after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the program was initially focused on 12 countries in Europe and Eurasia. Over time, it has grown to include 22 countries, building a strong alumni network of over 30,000 individuals.

FLEX is a prestigious and highly sought-after program, especially among Georgian high school students. Each year, students from ETI Holding are selected to participate, gaining valuable experiences that shape their futures. One such outstanding student is Elene Beridze, who has been selected as a FLEX program winner for the 2024-2025 academic year. Elene is currently studying in the United States as part of the program.

As a distinguished ambassador for Georgia, Elene shares her experiences and American life events with us, offering a glimpse into the cultural exchange and personal growth that comes with the program. She is actively engaged in her American school life, excelling academically, culturally, and scientifically. Her achievements reflect the impact of the FLEX program on both her personal development and her role as an ambassador of Georgia.

Elene’s success is a testament to the opportunities FLEX provides for students to immerse themselves in diverse cultures while developing leadership skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. We are incredibly proud of Elene and look forward to seeing her continued achievements in the United States and beyond.

The FLEX program continues to be a vital tool for creating global citizens, fostering mutual understanding, and promoting the values of leadership and academic excellence. As more Georgian students participate and thrive in this incredible opportunity, we can only anticipate even more success stories in the years to come.
